I guess I can sorta explain without spoils.

KAY.

the tall brother (oldest) is Benjamin Ward and the small (youngest) insane brother is Oliver Ward. Well that was their names before they turned into this.

The two used to be normal people. Benjamin was a school drop out and disappointed his parents when he appointed his religion to satanism and decided to "MODIFY " his body with piercings and tattoos.
. Bejamin only being 24 decided to work as a local mechanic for Saniko city which then concludes Him to become good friends with Rin and her father. . His Younger brother (7) was extremely close to Ben throughout most of his childhood, and usually hangs out with him at his repair store.

BLAH BLAH can't tell you what actually happened to them.

So now Rin first meets up with these two in an abandoned insane asylum outside of Shadow Renge.
Their personalities are much different from their previous ones (Oliver being the most)

As Rin talks to Ben, and it seems that the more intellectual or 'SMART' side of his brain which he never really used took over, and well for his brother?

Can't really explain, but the reason why his face is like that is because he is wearing a mask, and actually has two faces now. the other face being a calm looking mask on the back of his head.
Benjamin no longer likes to call himself his name anymore (As to another fact that everyone in Saniko thought him and Oliver were dead)
He usually is called 'The Ward' or Dr. Ward
as For Oliver, he is unable to speak and reason with people anymore, therefor if his calm side decided to change , he will kill anyone, perhaps even his brother (hence the straight jacket)
So Ward decided to call him 'Sanity' for when his opposite mask shows, and 'Insanity' for when he twists his head around and shows this mask (in the picture.)
